Where are you from?
I am proud to say that I am originally from Morelia Michoacan.
How did you get started as a photographer?
My beginnings as a photographer began when I was 16 years old, a game of friends that became a great project in the city. There my career began, taking photos during massive musical events, theater and even for capsules on TV.
How long have you been a photographer for?
I´ve been a professional photographer for 7 years now.
What is the most rewarding part of being a photographer?
I love to think that a part of me stays in the photos, those photos go around the world and I go with them.
What does photography mean to you?
For me it is the only way in which we can graphically express the deepest part of our being, emotions, and moods.
What is your favorite style of photography?
Weddings and underwater photography. There are no poses, it is only you expressing your feelings.
Where is your favorite location to photograph?
The island of Cozumel is the perfect place for any kind of moment.
What is your preferred piece of equipment?
I generally really identify with the 40mm lens, 6D Mark II camera and an external flash.
What is your favorite part about working with Adventure Photos?
The experience, knowledge, and friendships that I have made.
What was the most memorable photo session or wedding you have captured?
It was recently, I had a photoshoot with Mr & Mrs Murphree, an extraordinary couple. Their attitude, scenery, and their way of expressing their love is unique.
How did you begin working with Adventure Photos? What hotel are you currently working at?
I was in Guadalajara Jalisco, when by chance or destiny I saw the Adventure Photos Facebook page. I could see the concept of the company and I liked it. Then I made my request and here I am! You can currently find me at the Secrets Aura and Sunscape Cozumel hotel with my teammate Cesar who is also a great photographer.
How do you make clients less nervous during a shoot?
Be yourself, but with relaxed shoulders.
If you could give advice to clients prior to their photo session, what would it be?
I make them understand that before being a photographer I am their friend, I try to understand how they feel and thus give more accurate and personalized advice. In general, I try to make my work dynamic and fun to preserve natural smiles and to provide a beautiful experience.
