Jennifer & Brody
We had a wonderful time shooting Jennifer & Brody’s gorgeous beach wedding at Dreams Sapphire in Quintana Roo, Mexico. Thanks to our talented destination wedding photographer, Abigail, the couple had a great experience and were able to leave with amazing photos of their special day.
Read on to learn more about Jennifer and Brody’s love story and find out their favorite moments of their destination wedding.

How did you meet your partner?
Brody and I met in grade 1. We lived in a small town called Pender Harbour, located in British Columbia. We grew up together in the same class all the way to graduation. We were always great friends and started dating when we were 21 years old.

What is your favorite thing about your partner?
My favourite thing about Brody is his kindness for others and the love he had for his family, friends, and our dog Pekoe.
Brody’s favourite thing about me is that I am always happy and upbeat.
What was the proposal like?
Brody proposed to me at our favourite weekend getaway spot: Harrison Hot Springs Resort. We go there every year in November for 5 days with our dog. We have been going there for years! It’s truly such a special place to us. He proposed to me on the beach in front of our dog. It was perfect!

Why did you decide to have a destination wedding?
We decided to do a destination wedding because we have been to two destination weddings within the last 10 years and they were both incredible! You get to spend a week with your loved ones, rather than just a day. Plus everyone gets a vacation. It’s a win-win for everyone!

What was your favorite part of wedding planning?
Our favourite part of wedding planning was probably picking a resort and looking at all the photos of the wedding venues. We started getting very excited!

What was the most memorable moment of your wedding day?
The most memorable moment from our wedding day was the moment I started walking down the aisle. Seeing Brody standing there and seeing all our family and friends was truly magical. Also the moonlight dance was pretty amazing! Brody says the moonlight dance was his favourite.

What was your experience like working with your Adventure Photos photographer/videographer?
Working with Abigail at Adventure Photos was a great experience. She was very friendly and very on top of everything. She kept all the groomsmen in check, which I’m sure wasn’t easy! She did a great job and I am so in love with all the wedding photos.

If you could give advice to newlyweds, what would it be?
We would say to always have fun together. Date nights are important. Keep the romance and always laugh!
