Adventure Photos was honored to have been a part of Dawn and Daniel’s beautiful beach wedding at Dreams Playa Mujeres. Our talented destination wedding photographer, Eduardo Mejia, did a fantastic job of capturing the couple’s love story as well as their fun-loving spirits.

How did you meet your partner?
We met on a Friday night in a local bar/restaurant. I was out with my girlfriends for a girls’ night out. Dan kept walking by us every time he went up to the bar so I eventually stopped him & asked him if one of those shots he kept buying was for me and asked him to join us.
What is your favorite thing about your partner?
Dawn: His kind heart & his funny personality
Dan: She is the most beautiful person in the world with the best sense of humor.
What was the proposal like?
Christmas morning (12.25.20) after opening presents, there was one last present for Dawn to open.
Why did you decide to have a destination wedding?
Dawn: My happy place has always been among sand, sun, & palm trees. So, I wanted to go somewhere that we could both enjoy ourselves, be pampered, a place that would be “ours” & capture the natural beauty of the outdoors on the beach.
Dan: I asked her where she wanted to get married and what better place than on a beach.
What was the most memorable moment of your wedding day?
Dawn: walking down to the boardwalk that led to the beach, hearing my processional song start playing (You Are The Reason by Leona Lewis) & seeing my groom with his hand up shading the sun from his eyes trying to see me standing there.
Dan: Watching my bride-to-be come down the pier on the beach and saying our vows in front of our family and friends that made the trip to be there with us.
What was your experience like working with your Adventure Photos photographer/videographer?
Dawn: Eduardo did a fantastic job capturing some memorable moments of our special day. He & the entire crew that I dealt with, whether in person or by email, have been pleasant & easy to work with.
Dan: We could not have had a better experience. They made everything so easy and I would refer them to anyone looking to get married on the beach.
What was your favorite wedding photograph and why?
Dawn: Well, I have two. This first one of the two of us looking out into the ocean. I love that the beauty of the sky & ocean was captured here. To me, it symbolizes us looking out into our future together. The second photo l love because it captured the loving way he looks at me.
Dan: I have two favorites as well. The first photo I love how it captured how beautiful she is and this is how I see her every day. The second photo I love because I got to share this day with friends and family there. So many wonderful memories made. To everyone involved, we love you.
If you could give advice to newly engaged couples, what would it be?
Book a destination wedding! The resort wedding planners & the photographers make it so easy for the bride/groom by taking care of all the details so you can enjoy your special day & be stress-free. I loved it!
